Heron Preston s/s Grad CollectioN
Inspired by the creativity showcased in Heron Preston's Spring 2023 Ready-To-Wear collection, I am reminded not only of the ability of Black creatives in the fashion industry but also of my ability and the journey I've undertaken throughout my years here at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Fashion is a reflection of the times we live in, and too is this piece as it represents my journey as a ram. As I step off into this new chapter of my life, I hope to carry forward the spirit of creativity and collaboration that defines both Heron Preston's visionary designs and my experiences here at VCU. Beyond this cap and gown lies a deeper purpose, a commitment to improving Black representation within fashion and giving back to underserved communities. As I cross the stage on May 10th, I hope to inspire future generations through my work.
